I was one of the very few people who were attacked because of their opposite views, at the dawn of the day when the Gezi Riot had ended up with millions of people around the country. . I was one of the targets, chosen to be shot down and to be killed and they shooted at me several times, without success, howewer I fell and got hurt. Now, I live with 22 titanium joints in my shoulder. Even after 2 years, my treatment continues and my trial as well. I am just one of many people who have faced similar incidents. Like I said in my tape made in the early 90’s and on the cover of the zine “CÖNK”; We are the continuation of a generation which had been oppressed and cannot be scared for more than 10.000 years. . – On 19 September 2014, all preparations for the camp and the festival had been completed. Everything seemed to be allright, until the we hear the devastating news about the massacre, on the first day of the festival.ISIS had attacked Kobane. People who tried to save their lives and escape to the other side of the border were attacked by the soldiers.We were confronted with companies trying to eliminate the habitat of millions of beings, states trying to control the water politics in the Middle East and the ISIS. I believe that it was the first time that we faced the most bitter form of the phrase “if i can’t dance, i don’t want to be part of the revolution"which was widely shared in the social media. This situation must have scared the State Water Authority, so the second day, they opened the dam shutters.The concert venue and the camp area right at the banks of the river Tigris (Dicle) were under control by helicopters whereas where everything was under the flood, The Festival continued with audio-visuals performance,enhanced with images and speeches of Yılmaz Güney and Gezilla footages continued. Hasankeyf Castle and it’s caves which was closed to general public, have been reopened for visit and had been occupied on the third day of the festival. BerBat Zöksal founded his 2/5 BZ  in Istanbul in 1986. As a constantly evolving multimedia project, the output is in disparate formats: tapes, video collages, CD-ROMs, audio CDs, photocopied zines, vinyls, posters, stickers and live performances.  2/5BZ has produced Tapes, Video-Collages,  Stickers, Posters and Copy-Zines since 1991   . The performances of 2/5 BZ aka BerBat Zöksal are exuberant cut-up montages of traditional music, experimental electronic sounds, TV and B-movie images, brought together in a dadaistic confrontation of pop, orientalism, kitsch, comic and folklore. Serhat Köksal performed  audiovisual concert on festivals, clubs, exhibitions,squats,.. in Europe, Asia, North America. The 2/5BZ  concentrates on concepts such as Cultural Pipeline andEnergy Dialogue since 2007 begin, presenting Sound Performance and Planetcore live visuals in Italy, Sweden, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Iran, Poland, Russia, USA, Belgium, Holland,Belarus, Switzerland, France, Latvia ,Denmark and Serbia. 2/5BZ has performed at well-known festivals such as Club Transmediale in Berlin ,Sonic Acts in Amsterdam .Berhat Zoksal is co-curator of the International Roaming Biennial of Tehran and have interview with John Peel on 1994 for BBC world Service ” Of all the music I heard in Turkey , I liked 2/5BZ best “. John Peel  and have two times Peel Session in BBC Radio 1 and have interview about Turkish Pop Cinema on Channel 4 TV (Mondo Macabro television series 2001) and  and interview about Arabesk music with Germany /France Arte channel  in 2010 and have selection in first wide-ranging book quide of audiovisual art and VJ culture ( D-Fuse ) in 2006. Project presenting on the subject of Turkish Pop Cinema and Deconstruction, Exotic Tourism and Anti-City myths,Copy Culture and Remakes, critical sound art and audiovisual experimentation using found footage, news material, outdoor shots , field recordings  and processed samples, electronics - in short: a critical and humorous re-use of mass culture. He lives and works in Istanbul.

BerBat Zöksal, aka 2/5 BZ, is performing on the subject of Turkish pop cinema and deconstruction, exotic tourism and anti-orientalism, copy culture and remakes, critical sound art and audiovisual experimentation using collage and cut-up techniques, found footage, field recordings and samples - in short: a critical and humorous re-use of mass culture. He focuses on media literacy, the role of advertising and corporate power in our lives, intellectual property issues and the evolution of art, law and resistance in a media-saturated multi-national world. The audiovisual performance of BerBat Zöksal aka 2/5 BZ entitled ‘NO Touristik NO Exotic’ has toured festivals, exhibitions and clubs in 19 countries and 91 cities. 2/5 BZ mixes raw electronica with Istanbul street noise backdrop and ghetto-blaster distorted oriental pop music. In addition to his work on samples and electronics, 2/5 BZ also deconstructs Turkish films from the 60s and 70s and the ethnic market and east-west gateway clichés about Istanbul: cut-up art for eyes and ears which disturbs the cliché-infested self-perception and depiction of Nurks against the backdrop of international events and creates bizarre new forms similar to the kaleidoscope effect. When BerBat Zöksal works with TV and film imagery, mixing it with sound, rearranging and reanimating it in sampling, he produces a wide range of rarely experienced associations. Some of the images and sound passages he creates appear to be very funny, while others are depressing. However, luckily enough, they never seem to be as intentionally horrifying as some of the velvety digitalia that creeps from one harmonious statement to the next.

As for 2/5BZ Acts, in its audiovisual performances, it has focused on new measures of securitization, the undisputable acceptance of volunteering, and it currently works on “New Age Vampirism “, ” Avatar Liberalism” in a “Palaverel” and Parallel Universe as well as “Toolerance Imperialism” and ”Cosmic Noptimism ” .

2/5 BZ ( Opuaçlama ) 1986 da Serhat Köksaz tarafından istanbulda kurulan 2/5 BZ kaset teypler, fotokopi dergiler,çıkartmalar , posterler, CD-R ,DVD-R albümler ve filmler üretti. 
Konserlerinde ise çeşitli zamanlarda sampler, saz ,elektronikler, mikser, teyp , bas , darbuka …gibi aletler kullanilan 2/5BZ performanslarında ise kendi yaptığı montaj filmler eşliğinde sahnede canlı olarak hem ses hem de görüntü kurgulandı . Müziğinde ve performanslarında, doğaçlama , batıçlama ögeleri ile birlikte bir nevi opuaçlama harmanlaması yapmakta geleneksel müzikten deneysel müziğe uzanan ve 60-70 yılların Yerli 

filmlerinden alınarak oluşturulmış bir yapıda düşüncelerini fışkırtmaktadır .

1991 den itibaren yapımlarını kendi imkanları ile yayınlamaya başlayan, onları basit koşullarda kopyalayan,dağıtan zaman zaman da onlarla ürün değiş tokuşu yapan 2/5 BZ ” Ne Turistik Ne Egzotik Elektronik Folk ” müziğini Türkiye dışında İtalya, İsveç, Almanya, Çek Cumhuriyeti, Avusturya , Iran, Polonya, Rusya, ABD, Belçika, Hollanda, Belarus, İsviçre , Fransa, Latonya ,Danimarka ve Sırbistan da ” 2/5BZ birliği eurOPUA ’ da ” başlığı altında 94 şehirde çoğunluğu bağımsız mekanlarda ,kendi montaj filmleri eşliğinde tek kişi olarak çaldı.

Serhat Köksaz , 2/5bz ve Güzel mecmasi hakkinda ilk radyo röportajını John Peel in isteği üzerine BBC world service için 1994 de İstanbul da yaptı . Alternatif müziğin büyükbabası olarakda anılan Dj / Yapımcı John Peel, ’ Türkiyedeki dinledigim bütün müzikler içersinde en çok 2/5BZ ‘yi sevdim ’ anonsu ile birlikte 1994 den günümüze bir çok 2/5 BZ parçasını kendi programlarında yayınladı. 2003 de  ilk, 2004’de ise ikinci ’ Peel Session ‘ yapıldı ve bu parçalar 2/5 BZ ’ nin kendi plak şirketi Gözel Records tarafından 12 inch ( birbuçuk karış ) formatında plaklara basıldı . ’ Peel Session ’ 1967 yılından beri Napalm Death ,Captain Beefheart , Aphex Twin ,Cure,Nirvana ,Autechre , Digital Mystikz, Joy Division , Dick Dale, Police, Sonic Youth ,Jeff Mills , Bob Marley , Siouxie and the Banshees ,Extreme Noise Terror ,….gibi bir çok müzisyene teklif edilmiştir . 2/5 BZ, aynı zamanda dünyadan 650 sanatçı katılımlı İstanbul, Berlin, Belgrad da konaklayan ve o şehirlerdeki katılımcıların desteği ile bağımsız ortamlarda gerçekleşen Gezici Tahran Bienalini 2008 yılında -  Berlin’de geçici kurulan sirk çadırında çeşitli ülkelerden gelen katılımcılarin oluşturduğu 3 günlük ” Urban Lousy / Kent Berbat ” etkinliğini ise 2010’da organize etti.
